The Chicago Federation of Musicians has had an active theater community since the Local’s inception in 1901, and continues to support that community today. Besides the downtown theaters, located in the Loop, members of the Chicago Federation of Musicians are working in Off-Loop and suburban theaters under Collective Bargaining Agreements and contracts negotiated by the Chicago Federation of Musicians.
