ABOUT New Standard Quintet
The New Standard Quintet was formed in 2010 and has two well reviewed studio recordings to its credit, “The Many Faces” and “Another Time, Another Place”. Both feature all original music covering various styles ranging from hard bop to fusion. In addition, the band has performed throughout Chicagoland at clubs and concerts and is comprised of some of the finest musicians in Chicago, including Pat Fleming on guitar, Todd Howell on drums, Curt Bley on bass, Tom Vaitsas on piano and Ken Partyka on saxophone.
